Picture this; you and your beloved treat each other to a night out at the most Lah-de-dah restaurant you can afford. Would you rock on into Aria (for example), then take their menu full of beautifully hand-crafted delicacies down to your local Italian and ask them to do the same thing but cheaper? Why not? they’ve both got a venue to operate out of, chairs, tables, cutlery, hell they’ve even both got kitchens and stuff with people running around in funny uniforms. Whats the diff? OK, I might have simplified it a bit, but any sane person understands that pitching one chef off another based purely on price is at best counter-productive, at worst, totally uncool.
My point is, when choosing a vendor for your wedding, whether it be a florist, photographer, venue or hire cars, shopping on price alone never works out best for you. Choosing one vendor over another simply because they’re prepared to undercut their competition just to get your business defies logic. Vendors who operate in such a way do so for a reason – they NEED to. Thats all they’ve got. I’m all for getting value for money, but do you really want your wedding day to be a circus of lowest bidders?
