Rochelle & Peter – Saturday 9th of Feb 2012
Before I start, I must apologise for the sheer number of images below. I had such a hard time editing the shots Sarah and I took on Saturday, I just had to resign myself to an extended blog this week!
Rochelle’s wedding was officially the day all my photographer’s dreams came true! Fantastic weather (just that little bit overcast at the right moments), STUNNING Bride (no, really!), gorgeous home, handsome Groom, super fun bridal party, old school church, a round-trip Rocks photoshoot and the cherry on the cake for me was…A CHAUFFER!!!!!! I seriously thought I’d died and gone to heaven when Sarah and I were driven in style to our city photoshoot in a cherry red ’68 Mustang! Belonging to a friend of Peter’s Dad and restored without compromise, it complimented the three other beautiful Pony’s supplied by Sydney Mustangs.
After capturing the precious wedding photos of most of the Buckley and Ridge sisters, cousins and friends, I was totally chuffed to again be commissioned to shoot yet another Buckley bride! Thank you ladies! It was truly a delight to see you all again on Saturday night, catch up with you and your Husbands and get the update on your lives and the new families you are making for yourselves. I certainly hope that Rochelle’s wedding won’t be the last you all see of me!

We got engaged a year ago. Peter told me to pack my bags the night before at 6am in the morning he woke me up and told me to jump in the car. I ended up at the airport then on a plane still not knowing the destination until just before take off. Landed in Cairns airport where the transfer company held a sign up. We got taken through every resort possible on the way to Port Douglas I had no idea of the destination we would end up in. Then the last resort was that of one I saw on getaway years ago and I mentioned to Peter that it was my dream resort in Australia to stay in. The Sheriton Mirage. We drove throw the gates and I started stating to Peter happily that this was the resort I have always loved. Peter and I have travelled a lot so this was very special he told me to jump out and for 6 days he spoilt me rotten. Helicopter rides, snorkelling, crocodile adventures, boat trips and many more fun adventures then on the last night we went for a walk to the beach to watch the sunset and he had towels, wine, wine glasses and a beautiful ring. It was a massive surprise I had no idea. 8 years we have been together.
We are honeymooning in the Cook Islands.
