Tara & Grant – 1st Dec 2012
Just in case anyone was in doubt that Summer had arrived, the weather turned up the thermostat for Tara & Grant’s wedding on Saturday. 37.5 degrees could not wilt their resolve as they celebrated their marriage on the shores of Gunnamatta at Darook park.
The delightful tones of Nat and Moses of Tillee Music set the mood for the ceremony as well as the reception. I also saw a few familiar faces amongst the guests and Nicole, you did a fantastic job with the cake! So delicious I wish I had taken a few more pieces home!
“We had planned getting engaged for a while, but children came along, so time got away and then next thing we knew I was pregnant with our 3rd and we agreed we should better do it now, before informing our parents they were going to become granparents again!!! As I was terribly sick with morning sickness (or 24 hour sickness), most of my partner’s plans to surprise me were foiled! So one day on returning home from work I found the house strangely quite, and he had dropped the kids off at my mum’s but I wasn’t aware of this……took me for a drive down to Darook Park South (the site of our wedding ceremony) and proposed to me down there. We celebrated with dinner afterwards with all the family! I still am waiting for the light plane flight to whale beach or the hawkesbury for lunch on the water as that was the plan I found out later. We will save that one I think for our first year anniversary!!
