Did you know that JettyBlue is also a full-service corporate photography studio? Yep, that’s right, we’ll shoot your corporate event, conference and portraits. We come to you and shoot on-site wherever required so you can get back to being busy in to time at all. Here’s some images from my shoot this week at Crowne Plaza Coogee for the annual conference of my good client, ALCON.

Looking for something different for your Corporate Xmas party? Photo booth didn’t quite cut it last year? Well, check out what Estee Lauder Companies did for their Xmas party in 2014. They set up a media backdrop and had me come and shoot their Xmas party photo fun corner. With some simple props, enthusiastic staff letting their hair down and my professional lights, this leaves a traditional photo booth for dead! I was also there to capture all the usual fun and formalities at a corporate Xmas party such as the set-up, crowd shots, dancing and award ceremony.

Kelly and Luke chose to keep it local when we were discussing a location for their engagement shoot, so how could we go past Como! You guys were great, I can’t wait for your big day in March…
The New Year has been flush with newborns! And I have to say Keiran was the most laid back of them all…
Here’s some gorgeous shots from baby Cooper’s first photoshoot in Novermber 2014.

Yesterday I was at the BEC for their Corporate Portrait day. I was chuffed to be invited to photograph not only the BEC team, but the board members and BEC members as well. Here’s what Louise had to say:
“Sam recently provided some corporate photos for our team. Sam was very professional and gave us some really good tips to help us to capture the right image. We are very happy with the end result and would recommend Sam’s services to anyone.”
The tips Louise is talking about are my little directorial “ques” for the clients so that I can acheive the most flattering and professional image for them. Vague instructions such as “look happy” aren’t very helpful, so I like to get to know my subjects a little bit before I start – what is their business? why do they want a corporate portrait? where will it be used? what clothes did you bring? What did you have last time? All these things help me to paint a picture of my subject. Some people seem to be in touch with their appearance and need little direction from me, others need a lot. You’ll notice two of the ladies photographed below have been shot from a slightly elevated position – this is very flattering and eliminates the dredded double chin. I’ve also directed them with a subtle tilt of the head, which gives them a nice shape in the frame as well as appearing friendly and approachable. For all my top tips on body language for your corporate portrait, click here.
Thanks Louise! I had a great day and looking forward to the next one. If in the meantime you’re looking to book in a corporate portrait, you can come to my studio in Como, or I can come to you with my mobile studio. If your outdoor work environment is important in telling your story to your customers, we can include that too. Call me for a chat 0414 412 069.
Love is in the air….
These two are too cute together and their connection was just delightful to witness. They’re getting married next year in Mollymook and I CAN’T WAIT!!!!! Well, I’m going to have to, but in the meantime, here’s my faves from their engagement session a couple of weeks ago…
What a glorious day! Last Saturday I had the enviable honour of captuing Mel and Chris’s very special wedding day at Wollongong’s delightful Botanic Gardens.
After keeping Chris waiting the suitable amount of time, their ceremony was punctuated with a “box ceremony” where each placed a love letter they’d written to the other. The box was then sealed up (with a bottle of bourbon to keep it company), only to be opened on their first anniversary – isn’t that the most romantic thing you’ve ever heard of! Even if seeing Mel the blushing Bride weilding a hammer was slightly disturbing 🙂
We toured the gardens for photos, then met their “fur daughter” at the harbour where she joined in the fun too.
Congratulations to you both! You’re an awesome couple and I wish for you a lifetime of happiness and love. oxoxoxxxxxx
