Hayley & Anthony’s Country Wedding

Before I start, I must apologise. I got completely carried away with this wedding and as a result, Hayley’s post is gargantuan! The whole day was a photographers dream, so it took me a little longer than usual to wade through the ocean of images I captured.

First I met the boys at the Great Southern Pub at Berry for a few pre-ceremony pics, then I moseyed on up the road to the Silos Winery, one of my most favourite wedding venues on the planet (OK, I haven’t been to ALL the wedding venues on the planet, but its pretty damn good). Hayley’s gorgous vintage gown was from my good friend Mel of the Barefaced Bride and she looked amazing! The ceremony was conducted on the lawn overlooking the vineyards and the guests were treated to drinks on the lawn while we schlepped around the grouds were I had all the fun and got some amazing shots. We even had a mob of kangaroos look in on the proceedings! The bridal couple partied on into the night with their guests under the fantastic marquee set up on the lawn.

Sandy & Lorri’s Engagement Shoot

Sandy & Lorri are just the lovliest couple! They’ve been together for ages and haven’t quite got to planning the big day just yet, so Sandy had the genius idea of an engagement shoot so they have some pics on the wall in the meantime. Opting for their formal get-up that they wore to their engagement party, Sandy was a real trooper in her heels as we schlepped all over my new favourite shooting location in Port Kembla. After hearing a rumour about some disused military tunnels nearby, Sandy and I were intrigued enough to venture into the unknown (and seriously spooky!) It was well worth the effort – we got some AMAZING shots!

Thanks for a great afternoon guys, I had a blast and I can’t wait for the big day to come along sometime next year (fingers crossed!) oxoxxxx

Katie & Steve – 8th Dec 2012

My second wedding for Saturday was Katie & Steve’s at the Botanic Gardens in Wollongong. Their two delightful daughters Charlotte and Bronte prosided over things and looked delightful. After some gorgeous shots at the Botanic Gardens, we headed south to the shores of Lake Illawarra for some stunning images on the jetty. Their guests partied the night away at the Berkeley Sports Club where Katie displayed her prowess as a room decorator.

Chantal & Jon – From the top end to Berry

I first met Chantal and Jon at Catherine & Brad’s wedding nearly two years ago and when Chantal rang me from Darwin asking me to shoot her wedding, I was delighted!

In the time between our first meeting and the wedding, Chantal has had a beautiful baby daughter Shyla. They decided to kill two birds and their wonderful wedding ceremony was punctuated with Shyla’s naming ceremony. It was a delightful way to welcome the now 12 month old Shyla into her circle of friends and family.

After the ceremony at Apex park in Berry, we drove out to the Silo’s Winery for some spectacular scenery. The photo shoot was exceptional as was the wine tasting (so I’m told).

The reception was a Gabby’s in Berry.

Congratulations guys – I look forward to seeing you all again in a coule of weeks at Rachel & Mick’s wedding!
