Lyndal & Matthew’s Wedding – 26th Sept 2010

Lyndal & Matthew’s wedding on Sunday was just nothing short of a triumph in yellow. The day was blessed with extraordinary Sydney weather – it’s hard to believe that the perfect day could get any better. The mood of the day was certainly a reflection of the wedding’s colour theme – yellow!

When Lyndal’s mum Denise contacted me to shoot Lyndal’s wedding after I had shot the groom’s sister Lisa’s wedding last October, I was honoured that the family thought JettyBlue was the only studio suitable for the job! PS. Big congratulations to Denise for helping Lyndal arrange such a successful day.

After shots in the family home and garden (good job on the garden Steve), we headed to the beautiful Sebel Hawksbury Valley for the ceremony that took place in the chapel. The bride arrived in none other than a Mini Cooper S Clubman! Thanks to Dad Steve’s Mini Car Club connections. After the ceremony, we strolled onto the gardens by the lake for the photos. A lunchtime reception rounded off the day nicely as Lyndal & Matthew’s guests were treated to a lovely lunch in the grand ballroom.

Baby Bailey’s first Portrait

Niki’s Maternity Portrait

When Niki rang me to ask me to do shoot some portraits before her baby was due, I was delighted! Although, I wasn’t quite expecting the urgency required – Niki was due in only 3 days time! Hence, the shoot was organised for the day after she rang me. She looks nothing short of fabulous for a mum-to-be so close to her due date and I’m so pleased the planets aligned and we could synchronise calanders at such short notice.

The shoot took place at Niki’s home where she felt most comfortable. We started in her front living room where the afternoon light was just perfect to capture Niki’s wonderful shape. Then before the sun went down completely, we ventured into the backyard and made the most of the last of the days rays.

Good luck with the birth Niki and please let me know how it all went. I can’t wait to meet your new addition.

Sandy’s Family Portrait – 5th Sept 2010

While most dad’s were at home watching the footy on their Father’s Day afternoon, Sandy and Wayne brought the kids and their adorable 2yr old grandson Cobe down to Stanwell Beach for a portrait sitting.

Sandy’s portrait shoot was a gift from a work colleage Lyndon, who’s own family portrait I’d shot many many moons ago.

I had a great time shooting, so I hope that you enjoy the end result just as much.

Yasmin & Arthur’s Harbour Wedding – 4th Sept 2010

It was 3 years ago that I shot Yasmin’s uncle’s wedding to his lovely bride Kylee, so I was delighted when Yasmin asked me to capture her very special day.

After a whirlwind romance with fiance Arthur (from Boston, Mass) they decided on a low-key wedding on our iconic Sydney Harbour. Not even the crazy weather could dampen their happiness. There was nothing lo-key however, about Yasmin’s fabulous bridal gown. A striking couture gown made in none other than New York in classic black! Even Carrie Bradshaw couldn’t have pulled it off as well as Yasmin did. Amazing!

After our photos in the Royal Botanic Gardens, the guests and Bridal couple boarded their vessel for a romantic ceremony on the harbour followed by a wonderful reception on board. In keeping with the individual theme of their day, Yasmin & Arthur shared a cupcake wedding cake and the Nutbush as their first bridal dance together.

Thanks for a fabulous day guys! I had a ball. Hope you enjoy your whitsundays honeymoon and find the time to visit us once in a while all the way from Boston.
