What better day to get hitched than NRL Grand Final Day! It was good enough for Angela’s parents when the Rabbitoh’s beat Balmain, so in 2010 whilst the Dragons were well on their way to victory, Angela & Mason were saying “I do”.

The ceremony was officiated in style (as usual) by the ever lovely Lillian Lyon at Sydney’s spectacular Chinese Gardens of Friendship. We just missed the rain for some wonderful shots around the garden before heading down to the rocks for a brief photo shoot before the rain really set in. We were lucky indeed!

L’aqua @ Cockle Bay was the venue for a very stylish reception complete with fireworks display! Being of Kiwi origin, Mason and his crew delighted family and friends with a fiery Haka to really kick off the celebrations. Everyone had a great time and I thank Angela and Mason for inviting me and my 2IC Alex to be a part of their big day (8 months pregnant and all!)

And to the table who were taking bets on the night as to what I’m having – sorry to dissapoint, but it’s a girl! Watch this space for some baby shots after the 27th.

PS. With preparations for my baby shower tomorrow, I’ve run a little behind with my re-touching, so I’ll have the images up on the web gallery as of Tuesday the 12th.

 

Lyndal & Matthew’s wedding on Sunday was just nothing short of a triumph in yellow. The day was blessed with extraordinary Sydney weather – it’s hard to believe that the perfect day could get any better. The mood of the day was certainly a reflection of the wedding’s colour theme – yellow!

When Lyndal’s mum Denise contacted me to shoot Lyndal’s wedding after I had shot the groom’s sister Lisa’s wedding last October, I was honoured that the family thought JettyBlue was the only studio suitable for the job! PS. Big congratulations to Denise for helping Lyndal arrange such a successful day.

After shots in the family home and garden (good job on the garden Steve), we headed to the beautiful Sebel Hawksbury Valley for the ceremony that took place in the chapel. The bride arrived in none other than a Mini Cooper S Clubman! Thanks to Dad Steve’s Mini Car Club connections. After the ceremony, we strolled onto the gardens by the lake for the photos. A lunchtime reception rounded off the day nicely as Lyndal & Matthew’s guests were treated to a lovely lunch in the grand ballroom.
