Stratton Family Portrait

“When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade!” That statement was never truer than this afternoon. With their shoot scheduled for the lovely Carss Park, when the weather turned nasty (just for something different) Tara’s mum Judy offered her lovely home as an alternate. We had a terrific shoot and didn’t get wet! It was also lovely to catch up with Chris and Paula and to meet their two lovely daughters. I shot their wedding way back in 2010. Have a very Merry Xmas everyone!

Mel & Paul’s Wedding

I first met Mel and Paul at Lee and MarieAnne’s wedding earlier in the year and I was delighted to be asked to shoot their wedding on Sunday. The weather was no deterent to their beautiful day and in fact, the rain was very well behaved and held off for the location shots. The ceremony at St. Gabriels was lovely and the church is just delightful! After a terrific location shoot at Carss Park, Doltone House in Sylvania turned out a great reception. The highlight of the night was the bridal waltz where Mel & Paul Wowed their guests with a fabulous Tango routine. Ole!!!

Kate and Keiran’s Engagement Portrait

I’m so looking forward to Kate and Keiran’s wedding next year – but in the meantime, we had a wonderful engagement portrait shoot at Carss Park on Wednesday night. It was a little overcast which made the light absoutely perfect! These two are so in love I couldn’t help but have a great time with them. Sally from Living Beauty Makeup Artistry did a wonderful job with Kate’s makeup. I can’t wait to see what she does on Kate’s wedding day. Nicola’s Family Portrait – Sunday 27th Nov

This busy week started very calmly with a fabulous family portrait at Cronulla. I first met Nicola just over a year ago the night before I had my baby Storm! Nicola was also pregnant at the time and was planning to have a maternity shoot done, but as babies do, little Elena came a few weeks early and we missed out! Not to worry, she got all the kids together for a portrait for Nan for Xmas. She’s going to love it!

Kylie & Tim

The weather couldn’t dampen the spirits of these two lovebirds! Kylie and Tim embraced the soggy weather and laughed their way through a beautiful ceremony on the terrace at the St. George Motor Boat Club. The weather broke just long enough for us to get some spectacular shots on the marina. Kylie, Tim and their guests parited the night away to the tunes of the band “Shake & Bake”. Good luck with the bub – you’ve already proved you both have a great sense of humour, so you’re most of the way there already!

Deepa’s Engagement Shoot

This afternoon I had a wonderful Engagement shoot with Deepa and Colin. Darook Park is one of those locations that is different to shoot everytime I visit – I love it!

Deepa looked amazing with makeup by Mieke from Living Beauty Makeup Artistry. As usual Mieke, you’ve done a stellar job, Deepa looks stunning in these shots! Zoe the Angel

Yesterday I caught up with one of my favourite couples from 2010, Beck & Steve. It was lovely to see them both again, but the best bit was meeting their adorable little lady, Zoe. At just over 6 months, her first photo shoot was well overdue, but it was worth the wait! It was smiles all round from the little model – a real pro! Look out Steve, I think you’ve got a proper princess on your hands!

Tanya & Rob – Oct 22nd

Last Saturday I ventured down to Kiama for Tanya and Rob’s delightful wedding at the Sebel Kiama. After the intimate garden ceremony, we went to the rock pools then to Jamberoo for a real “surf and turf” shoot.

Tanya & Rob met by accident at Rob’s birthday drinks in 2008 when Katie, a mutual friend invited Tanya along. It turned out that both Tanya and Rob were going to the New Year’s cricket test. Covertly, at the cricket, under the premise of fixing Tanya’s phone (by the way Tanya still refuses to join Telstra!), Rob happened to steal Tanya’s phone number. A few weeks later, Rob and Tanya enjoyed an all-day Date at Scarborough Pub. Their love for each other was evident right from the start. In 2010, Rob and Tanya went to South Africa to meet Tanya’s family and Rob was a favourite with the grandparents. With this endorsement, in April 2011 Rob proposed to Tanya at a surprise dinner at the Altitude Restaurant at the Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney. Rob looked around to see if anyone was watching, quickly got down on one knee and popped the question. Rob had to ask Tanya again if it was a YES, because all Tanya was interested in was the ring.(By the way, when Rob asked Tanya’s dad for her hand in marriage, he said: “Are you sure???” ) . Rob and Tanya have been looking forward to sharing the wedding celebrations with their family and friends ever since. The happy couple will depart for the Cook Islands for their Honeymoon after the wedding. So it turned out Rob got the best present for his birthday in 2008.

Khali & Austen – Oct 21st

Austen asked Khali to marry him while on a weekend away in Port Macquarie, celebrating 3 years together. Austen got down one knee and asked Khali to marry him while watching the sunset at Tacking Point Lighthouse. After this romantic proposal, it was a perfect Spring day that greeted our new Bride and Groom as they emerged from the Spectacular Our Lady of Delores Catholic Church at Chatswood. We then ventured to Kirribilli for a fabulous harbourside photo shoot. Khali & Austen and their bridal party then boarded a chartered water taxi for a relaxing trip over the waves to their reception at L’Aqua, Cockle Bay. The night was topped off by a hilarious sprint down memory lane courtesy of Best Man Matt’s speech and check out Khali’s expression when her Groom reveals his closely guarded secret honeymoon location – Fiji! Enjoy the honeymoon guys, congratulations and I can’t wait to hear all about it when you get back.
