Rebecca & Nigel’s Family Affair

Its not so uncommon these days for a couple to have a family before they tie the knot and Bec and Nige celebrated their wedding day together with their two beautiful children Chloe and Jake. it was truly a family affair and it was wonderful to see their children being embraced as key participants in their wedding day, not just attendants.

Although it didn’t rain as predicted (yay!), Bec didn’t let the gale-force winds (boo!) flatten her enthusiasm – she was going to have the best wedding day and no wind was going to stop her! So, the ceremony was held at Bulli where my good friends at Bubbly Events did a stellar job (as usual) in dressing the ceremony spot. Then I caught up with another of my favourite industry experts, Belinda Richardson, who officiated the ceremony beautifully. Even going beyond the call of duty and holding the dress of one of the speakers! Belinda’s ceremonies are thoughtfully crafted and included a very special homage to Bec’s Dad which brought most of the guests completley unstuck! Not a dry eye in the house after that.

We headed for the shelter of Sandon Point for photos, then more photos at Wollongong Harbour before Bec, Nige and their guests partied the night away at the Harbourfront. I had a great time catching up with past couples Tae & Chris (who was a groomsman for Nige) and Skye and Glenn. There’s nothing nicer for me than to have Brides trust me enough to recommend me to their friends. Then to catch up with them all in the one spot – awesome!

Congratulations Bec & Nige, you guys have a delighful family and your wedding day was heartfelt, genuine and filled with devotion. I’d wish you luck for the future, but clearly you don’t need it. I had a very special day, thank you for inviting me to share it with you. Oh, I make no apologies for the excess in photos of Chloe – she’s just way too cute! We’ll have to organise a play date with my little girl Storm. I think they’d get along famously 🙂
